Primavera Integration API

I found this document describing the Primavera Integration API. It should be helpful to those who want to build your own integration with SAP.

If you want to integrate with SAP you will likely need to build a custom BAPI.

Here’s a copy of the document I found on the web.

I will send you the doc. It should be available by clicking on the link above.

I don’t understand why the client doesn’t want “middleware” for this. If you don’t buy a tool you will have to build the middleware yourself. No matter what you will have a piece of software sitting between SAP and P3e.

I can understand why you don’t want standard middleware, but the tools designed for this task are specialized pre-packaged applications that use custom RFCs to connect with SAP and have pre-built integrations for Primavera.

I have seen many try to do this internally and it can be expensive to build and to maintain your own code. Also, if you have a high volume of transactions getting the right custom RFCs can make a world of difference. We have seen a number of clients decide to use a pre-packaged solution for performance reasons even after writing their own interface.

If you would like to learn more about the solution I work with please drop me a line at

I tried clicking the link and ran into a dead end “The page you requested was not found. You may have used an outdated link or may have typed the address incorrectly.” I am interested in seeing if this is an idea to present to my management. Thank-you.

Hi, can you send a copy of this document to me?
I’m also have a client that needs to have integration between SAP and Primavera and does not want to have a middleware software to do it. Another detail, the SAP that the client uses is a R/2. Is it possible to do it?

    Thanks

    Ana
